I try in my work to express the twisted realities we live in, when the boots of soldiers teach us to see from strange angles while they control our bodies and souls, and when our lives become a subject for debate in semi old buildings, and when smart modern persons try to cover our wounds and humiliation with fake roses and whitewash.

In 1987 Palestinian artists started working with the Italian kufieh organization. Since then, and through our close friendship with the artists of kufieh, Italy occupied a big space in our hearts.
So, it is no wonder that we are participating in this important exhibition, to express our thanks for their solidarity and to emphasize the importance of cultural cooperation between our two peoples.
